It's Gonna Be a Bumpy Ride

Does it have to be this hard??
So this evening as I was laying on the couch rebooting after a day of school and babysitting, I was yet again forced to listen to wedding talk as Jan and our cousin sat there and talked about invitation adresses for about an hour. It's horrible to sit through the conversations. "I wanna invite Matt, but do I put Matt or Matthew on the invite," or "What if there's a bunch of kids?" These conversations are getting really old really fast. Does it matter how you write someone's name on an invite? I mean does anyone really pay that close attention to it, they're just gonna tear it up anyway. Hell, if and when I get married, I'm just going to ride around town with a megaphone letting everyone I wanted to know that they're invited. I'd save a shit ton of money, and it'd be very interesting to see what kind of results it yields. People would rsvp by sticking there head out the window and saying yes or no. That'd be totally awesome to see happen. However, I think Emily Post would be a little distraught over this method. There's something to think about, why are there so many rules to follow with this kind of stuff. Why do you have to be formal when sending a wedding invite, but not if it were just regular mail? Why can't planning a wedding be easier than this. I'm totally against weddings now.

A little bit about me
So I'm the youngest of the five girls in my family. I haven't been around for most of the drama because I was away from home all summer working on an internship. However, I got calls from all parties involved in the wedding dramas because I was neutral ground. Which was the only issue I had, but being away was a major benefit. I've only been home for a month, and it has been a whirlwind coming home. Since I've gotten home, I'm jobless, I've gone back to school, and have listened to hour on top of hour of wedding talk. Between wedding festivites and school work, I have no time to have my own personal escape from this madness. I mean I'm not asking for much, just a small job to get away from these nutcases and so I can have income so I can afford the major expenses coming up.
Expenses: two bridesmaids dresses, shoes to go with each dress, two weekends deveoted to bachelorette parties, costs incurred from both weekends, makeup, gifts, dresses to wear to bridal showers, and any sanity I may have left.
School doesn't help much with this madness either. I've got 18 hours worth of classes, eight major projects, promotional activities for my internship, and I'd be willing to bet my bottom dollar that any weekend there is a major wedding event, I've got a major exam around that time too.
I wish I didn't have this much stuff going on, I'm about ready to pull my hair out. So please any advice from whoever may be reading? Want to hear more details about the crazy bickering matches my sisters are carrying on? Please feel free to ask because this is where I hold nothing back, because no one invlolved in the madness knows about this and no feelings get hurt. Mwahahaha.

So Here It Is....
Hello to whoever maybe reading,
I'm starting this blog because I want the outside opinion of several others. So I've got four sisters, and this past year two of them have gone off the edge and decided to marry guys who they've known four and six weeks. Of course it's been several months since then and the nuptials are swiftly approaching, and things have only gotten crazier.
Mel: Mel is the one who got engaged after four weeks. She was set up with this guy through a work friend, and after two weeks went totally AWOL. So she basically moved out of our house into Bozo's house after only knowing him two weeks. She became a totally warped version of herself and we think she has Stockholm Syndrome, but don't know for sure. She's cut herself off from the family and has become a completely different person. Her wedding is in December and her behavior is tearing the family apart.
Jan: Jan got engaged after knowing Zack for six weeks. Still a land speed record, but somewhat different because she didn't go AWOL. We knew what was going on with her from the beginning and hasn't changed one bit since she met her guy. Her wedding is in October and is being totally accepted by everyone in the family.
This situation is becoming slightly toxic and I don't see it getting any better as the nuptials get closer. We already don't speak to each other anymore, and some of the damage done with the fights that have happened cannot be undone. This has affected my family forever no matter what the outcome. Please someone tell me I'm not crazy for not wanting these weddings to happen??
Thanks to whoever reads.
